My Adventure with Planting By John Abraham Godson I am so blessed to have had a father who was an agriculturist and passionate farmer. My dad went through all the possible agricultural schools from College of Agriculture Umudike to University of Nigeria Nsukka. He was the best Agric master I ever had in secondary school. He taught and practiced with passion. I had the privilege of not only learning from him in the classroom. But also at home - the practical lessons continued. We practiced various areas of agriculture at home - ranging from livestock to various crops and to food processing. One area Papa modelled Agriculture for us was in fruit tree planting. There was almost no fruit we did not have around our home. Welcome!   Hello there! you know how you plan everything and it goes well in your mind and then you start but things just take a different route than you expect."The story of my first farm". Well I am a young lady  living in the northern part of Nigeria of West Africa. With a good amount of rain and arable land, I went on with my initial plan of a half hectare maize farm which started with employing labor because I was going manual on this one and of course I could not do such labor alone. So I went in search of help, then I got my first workers (two young men), we had a sit down to agree on prices and work days but since they had experience than me in farming and I wanted to win them over, flexed my unused management skill but then while I kept to my word of payment and I tried to reach out to create a work relationship, they preyed on my niceness, never kept to agreed date or time, made me pass my budget and didn't finish  planting as agreed.
